Basilia graduated with an honours degree and master degree in accountancy and law in Hong Kong. She gained extensive experience in audits of a portfolio of private and listed clients in different industries, namely, constructions, distributions, environmental products, healthcare, manufacturing and trading, non-profit making organisations, properties investments and development. She is also conversant with auditing companies listed in Singapore, United Kingdom and the United States. Basilia actively engages in special assignments such as initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions.

Basilia served as a Committee Member of each of the Small and Medium Practices Committee (2017 – 2020), the Governance Committee (2021), the Digitalization Committee (2021) and the Professional Conduct Committee (2019 – 2022) of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She currently serves as a Committee Member of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Committee (2018 – 2023) of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
