David joined HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng in 1998. He has extensive audit experience in dealing with companies of various sizes and in different industries. These clients include multinational corporations, listed companies (both in Main Board and GEM), trading companies, government organisations, securities firms, etc.

Being a director of the Regulatory and Compliance Group of the Firm, David is familiar with procedures for reporting to various regulators in Hong Kong including the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEx) and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) including but not limited to circularisation exercise, review of internal control system and investigation of misappropriation.

His years of experience in the profession enables him to extend his expertise in business advisory services. In addition to auditing a wide range of clients, he is also specialized in consultancy service, including IPO assignments of HKEx, fraud investigation, business valuation and due diligence projects.

David served as a Committee Member of each of the Securities and Investment Funds Regulatory Liaison Group (2012 - 2013) and the Securities Regulatory Liaison Group (2014 – 2016) and the Securities Regulatory Advisory Panel (2017) of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
