中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平强调，香港应继续全面准确、坚定不移地贯彻“一国两制”、“港人治港”、高度自治的方针。习主席指出，香港要发挥其国际金融中心和创新科技枢纽的优势，推动高质量发展，改善民生，融入国家发展大局。

而两会期间，国务院总理李强在政府工作报告中亦表示，我们要全面准确、坚定不移贯彻‘一国两制’、‘港人治港’、高度自治的方针。支持香港发展经济、改善民生，深化国际交往合作，更好融入国家发展大局。

国务院副总理丁薛祥参加港澳地区全国政协委员联组会强调“中央始终坚持‘一国两制’、‘港人治港’、高度自治方针”。行政长官李家超也表示，香港将继续全面准确、坚定不移地贯彻“一国两制”、“港人治港”、高度自治的方针，推动经济高质量发展，改善民生，融入国家发展大局。香港正在加快推进由治及兴，要更加坚定维护国家安全，集中精力拼经济、谋发展、搞建设，巩固国际金融、航运、贸易中心地位，维护自由开放规范的营商环境，加快培育具有国际竞争力的新产业、新赛道。

在全国两会闭幕之际，香港安徽联谊总会副会长郑中正教授表示，皖港两地应紧扣政府工作报告提出的“深化区域战略对接”要求，落实融入国家发展大局的指示，以金融互联、科创协同、绿色转型、人文交融为突破口，推动双向赋能，为落实“十四五”规划目标注入动能。
